What about the places you have slept? Catalog them…tell as much about each place as you are willing.

The narrator says, “This is just a list of the different places I slept, it’s the only way I can get any perspective.” What are ways that you’ve lost perspective? How did you lose it and how did you get it back?

At this point in the story, Abby and Gideon both see the beauty in the pipe cleaner flowers; what’s the significance of the moment when Abby looks at the window through Gideon’s eyes? What’s the significance of the phrase, “as graceful as fully living things”? Is Abby a fully living thing or is she the pipe cleaner flower that just looks real?
